POT SHOT 4.4
One click: the monitor under your mouse goes to the clipboard.

REQUIREMENTS
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64), with .NET Framework 4.8 (included in current Windows).
Tested on Windows 11 x64. Not tested on Windows-on-ARM or Windows 10.

SET UP
  1. Keep all the files in this folder together (PotShot.exe needs cwebp.exe, LICENSE.txt and
     THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt beside it).
  2. Right-click PotShot.exe > Show more options > Pin to taskbar. (If you used TrayShot, unpin it first.)
  3. Click the Pot Shot button: the monitor that button is on goes to the clipboard. Paste anywhere.
Pot Shot shows no window and no tray icon. In PNG mode it exits at once. In PNG + WebP mode it stays
running invisibly for about a second (longer for very large screens) while it makes the WebP.

UNSIGNED PROGRAM
  PotShot.exe is not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" the first time;
choose More info > Run anyway only if you got Pot Shot from a source you trust.

DELAYED SHOT
Right-click the pinned button > Delayed shot. Open the menu or window you want in the picture; when the time is
up (4 seconds, or 10 seconds - see Settings) the monitor under your mouse at that moment goes to the clipboard.
The time counts from your click on Delayed shot. A copy of the Pot Shot camera shows the countdown under the Pot
Shot button: one flower petal turns blue each fifth of the time, the petals go back, then all five flash blue
together - that is the shot. The camera appears at once just above the taskbar; with an auto-hide taskbar it
follows the taskbar down as it drops away. The camera never takes the keyboard focus, ignores the mouse and is
kept out of the screenshot. Pot Shot learns where its button is from your ordinary clicks, so click the button
once after pinning it or moving it. Only one Delayed shot counts down at a time.

SETTINGS
Right-click the pinned button > Settings... or hold Shift and click the button.
Format PNG the most widely accepted format (default)
PNG + WebP a smaller lossless WebP file for apps that accept files (for example ChatGPT and Claude),
with the ordinary PNG image for everything else. The image is ready at once; the WebP
follows, usually within about a second (about 1.5 s for two busy monitors with --all).
If the WebP can't be made, you still get the PNG.
Save Clipboard only (default), or Clipboard + save a copy in your Windows Screenshots folder
(.png, or .webp in PNG + WebP mode; if the WebP can't be made, the saved copy is a .png).
"Open Screenshots folder" opens that same folder.
Delayed shot 4 seconds (default) or 10 seconds.
Changes apply immediately. After each change Pot Shot reads the settings file back and shows what it read. If a
change can't be saved as chosen, Pot Shot says so. If the settings file can't be read at all, the pop-up shows no
setting as selected and offers "Retry reading settings" (which only reads; it never saves anything). Each capture
  reads the saved settings again.
Close with X, Esc or a click outside. The Settings pop-up works with the keyboard and was tested with
Windows Narrator (on Windows 11); other screen readers have not been tested.

ALL MONITORS
Make a shortcut to PotShot.exe with --all after it (PotShot.exe --all) to capture every monitor as one image.

DARK TASKBAR
PotShot.exe uses the icon for light taskbars. On a dark taskbar: right-click the pinned button,
right-click "Pot Shot" > Properties > Change Icon... > Browse... > PotShot-for-dark-taskbar.ico (in this folder).

FILES POT SHOT KEEPS
%APPDATA%\PotShot\settings.json your settings (format, save, delayed shot)
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PotShot\button.txt where your pinned Pot Shot button is (its screen and position), written
when you click the button, so the Delayed shot countdown appears under it
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PotShot\clipboard\ temporary files for pasting. In PNG + WebP mode Pot Shot writes the
screenshot there as a temporary PNG while it encodes; that file is deleted
when the WebP is made, or kept as the PNG fallback if encoding fails.
Pot Shot deletes its own temporary files that are older than 24 hours, but
always keeps its 10 most recent ones, even if they are older. Clean-up runs
                                           whenever Pot Shot runs.
Your saved screenshots are never touched or overwritten. To remove Pot Shot, delete this folder and those two
  PotShot folders.

PRIVACY
Pot Shot itself makes no network connections and sends no telemetry. No installer, no updater.
Windows features that you control can keep or sync what you copy or save: clipboard history (Win + V),
clipboard sync across your devices, and a Screenshots or Pictures folder redirected to OneDrive or another
  sync service.

LICENCE
Pot Shot's own code and material are released under the 0BSD licence. The standard licence text is in
  LICENSE.txt in this folder.

THIRD-PARTY
cwebp.exe is Google's WebP encoder from libwebp 1.6.0, unmodified. It is third-party software: it keeps
Google's own licence and notices and is not covered by Pot Shot's 0BSD licence. Licence, notices and
